Tomato Bruschetta with Cream Cheese

Preparation time: 5 minutes
Cooking time: 15 minutes
Servings: 8-10 bruschettas
Ingredients:
1 baguette or ciabatta
4-5 ripe tomatoes
3-4 sprigs of fresh basil
2 tbsp olive oil
5 tbsp cream cheese
Salt and black pepper to taste
Dried herb mixture

Instructions:
1. Preheat the oven to 350°F. Slice the baguette or ciabatta into pieces about 1/2 to 1 inch thick.

Place the slices on a baking sheet and brush each with olive oil.
Next, place them in the preheated oven for 5-7 minutes until the bread is golden and crispy.
2. While the bread is in the oven, cut the tomatoes into small cubes.

Also, finely chop the basil. In a bowl, combine tomatoes, basil, dried herbs, salt, and pepper.
3. Remove the bread from the oven and let it cool slightly.

4. Spread a thin layer of cream cheese on each toasted slice of bread.

5. Top with the tomato and basil mixture.

Serve the bruschetta immediately to ensure the bread remains crispy.
